Fish without haemoglobin? Prof. Dr. Patricia Holm, who has already been to Antarctica four times with the research vessel Polarstern, reports on these and other peculiarities that attract researchers to the Antarctic. She was there when a huge iceberg broke off and the icebreaker was used to explore the newly created strait, helped with ice observation in shifts around the clock and, with the help of seals, she and her colleagues discovered a huge field of icefish nests on the seabed in the Weddell Sea.
This event will be held in German.
